The Story

Elon is known as a great marketing school, but among players, the music department also gets high marks. So it's no surprise that I enrolled as a double major– My life is a balance of strategy on the left side of the equation with creativity on the right.

 

As an audio for video producer (Impromptu Productions), I wrote custom scores for commercials, industrial film; essentially any marketing project that needed a boost.

 

As Director of Marketing for Mirco Technology Unlimited (audio recording technology), I managed the total marketing mix. I gained experience laser-focusing Go-to-Market details while researching long-term 'big-picture' strategies; the integration of planning and execution necessary to get ahead of the demand curve, to differentiate from the competition, and insure long-term profitability.

 

With large organizations, resources were available to invest in the future and I had the opportunity to build and refine key processes that are crucial for cutting edge marketing:

 

  • SAS- Building the marketing department, researching new products, expanding thought leadership and rebranding

  • Blue Cross- Repositioning products, building processes, creative and communications

  • Prudential- Planning new products, getting them to market, and building visibility for new products
